Paddington Bear

I am the youngest of the Heidel family and I think this picture really captures my relationship with Stephen. I am 11 years younger than Stephen. I have always thought Stephen was the coolest, most amazing brother. I remember being so sad when he left to go to college and waiting by the front window for him to come home for Christmas. I still have the Paddington Bear he gave me that first year away. I was lucky to be able to spend extra time with Stephen that my siblings didn’t get because of my age, including our trip to Florida and Falfurrias, Texas, while he was in flight school. He wasn’t amused with me when I made a sarcastic comment to one of the officers at the Officer’s Club. I am going to miss you ,our text chats, and random phone calls so much. As promised, I will always think of you when I drop the F bomb. ~Karen Uresti
